This covers East Texas Auto & Finance, 335 S Dickinson Dr, Rusk, TX 75785, and the website at easttxauto.com. We tried to write it the way we'd explain it to you standing on the lot.

What we collect

If you fill out a form on this site, we get your name, your cell phone number, the income range and down payment range you pick, which vehicle you're asking about, and anything you type in the notes box. That's it. We don't ask for your Social Security number, your driver's license number, or your date of birth on the website.

Our web host keeps standard technical records — the kind of device you used and roughly where the request came from — the same as any website.

If you go on to buy a vehicle or finance with us, we collect more at that point, in person and on paper. That information is handled under our in-store privacy notice and the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, not under this website policy.

What we do with it

We use it to call you back about the vehicle or the financing you asked about, and to answer your questions. Nothing else. We are not building a mailing list to sell you something later.

What we don't do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to lead brokers or marketing companies. We do not share your mobile phone number with anyone else for their marketing.

The only outside parties who touch this data are the companies that run our website and our phone and email — our web host, which receives the form and passes it to us, and Microsoft, which carries our email. They handle it on our behalf and don't get to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Calls

When you check the consent box on a form, you're telling us it's okay to call you at the number you gave us about your inquiry. We don't text — we'll call. If you'd rather we didn't call, just tell us and we'll take you off the list. Either way, it does not affect whether we'll work with you.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party ad trackers. Vehicle photos are served from our inventory provider's image network, which means their servers see the request for the image.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information as long as we're working with you and for a reasonable period after, then we get rid of it. Records tied to an actual vehicle sale or a finance contract are kept as long as state and federal law require.

Your choices

Call us at 903-683-2886 or come by the lot and we'll tell you what we have on you, correct it if it's wrong, or delete it if you want it gone and we're not required to keep it. Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act; we'll honor a request under it the same way — just ask.

Children

This site isn't for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this, we'll change the date at the top.
